There’s something timeless about an elopement—just two people, wildly in love, promising forever in the most intimate and intentional way. That’s exactly what Brianna and Josh chose to do, and I was deeply honored to capture every beautiful, unscripted moment of their day.

From the moment we met, it was clear these two share something special. Josh never stopped hyping up his bride, and Brianna’s radiant, genuine smile lit up every frame. Their energy together was playful, effortless, and filled with so much heart—exactly the kind of connection that makes photographing love stories like theirs such a joy.

Originally from Florida, Brianna and Josh planned their elopement here in San Diego, where Josh is stationed as a U.S. Marine. Their celebration was simple but rich in meaning, filled with emotion, laughter, and that unmistakable “just married” glow.

We began at the Chula Vista Courthouse, where a few close loved ones gathered for a heartfelt ceremony. Every glance, every vow—it was intimate, raw, and beautiful.

After they made it official, we headed north to chase the golden California light. First stop: Ellen Browning Scripps Memorial Pier in La Jolla, where the soft breeze and glimmering coastline created the dreamiest setting for their portraits. Then it was down to La Jolla Beach, where they kicked off their shoes, danced through the waves, and soaked in the joy of the moment. Finally, we wrapped at the UC San Diego School of Medicine Donor Memorial—a peaceful, modern space with architectural lines that added contrast to the natural beauty of the coast.

Throughout it all, Brianna and Josh were pure magic—laughing, spinning, and holding each other like the world had disappeared. It was the kind of elopement that reminds me why I love what I do: documenting real connection, real emotion, and the beginning of something forever.
